Importing sliders is crashing wordpress

    Hello,

I purchased the Layer Slider plugin only a few days ago. Since then I have imported 3 templates without any problems.

However, yesterday I started having problems when I tried to import another template. I have read the support tickets other users have submitted and it seems many people are having this same issue: when clicking on import it shows the message "importing" and nothing happens no matter how long one waits.

Here's  an even bigger problem: after that happens (clicking on "import template" and waiting) I try to go back to my wp admin page and it no longer responds. It goes blank and it won't load! I wanted to check with the solutions you have offered to the other users but I can't even access  my wp admin panel. This has happened to me yesterday AND today, both times right after I tried to import a template from layer slider (before that I was using my admin panel just fine). I can't even load my website (not the wp admin panel, just the website won't load). This is a huge problem since I can't do anything, not even try to fix the issue with layer slider! Please, help!

I am not an expert with computers (FTP, PHP, etc. are things I don't understand very well) so I'm afraid I'll need detailed explanations.

    Thank you!

    Hello leonordl,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

Judging from your description this is a server configuration problem. In your case it could be a memory limitation problem or execution time limit, because you are trying to utilize more content than your server can handle in the given amount of time. The server runs out of resource and that generates the blank spaces, because they cannot be loaded.

I do not believe that this is related to LayerSlider or other 3rd party items, plugins shouldn't be able to cause this kind of issue. I'd recommend to contact your hosting provider, so they can have a look (also check their logs) at the problem and change the necessary server settings.
