    Hello Darren,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

Problems with the importing method such as this, are usually related to server configuration issues.

Please check the LayerSlider System Status, located on the WordPress sidebar, for any error messages or notifications that could provide additional information on this case.

This is the only issue showing in system status.

    I have not changed it:

jQuery Google CDN:       Enabled     Should be used in special cases only, as it can break otherwise functioning sites. This option is located on the main LayerSlider admin screen under the Advanced tab.

Please set up a temporary WP login for us, so we can check on it from the back-end. Make sure to set the message to private, so others can't see the credentials.

Thank you. My colleagues and I will look into this to see if we can find anything, and get back to you shortly.

    Hello,

We've logged in and noticed that you have enabled multiple options in the Advanced settings tab. Modifying these options is not recommended, as invalid usage can break the plugin or your site. This is also communicated in the notification there. We've reset them to the default values, and were able to import sliders after that. It's true that the import is rather slow and it throws a HTTP 504 Gateway Timeout error for larger demo sliders. This error means that the connection is bad between the two servers. Regardless, the sliders were correctly imported, but the plugin did not navigate to the imported sliders, instead it was stuck on the importing screen because of the error.

We've noticed that your whole site is very slow. We believe that your server is heavily loaded and that is causing this issue. Considering that the plugin and its import feature is being used on more than 1,5 million websites without any problem and we did not experience this on our test site either, we doubt that the issue is generated on our end. There doesn't seem to be any invalid setting on your end, simply your server is overloaded and it slows down the site and the import.

Not true Atilla, I have never touched any of the advanced settings.

We have checked the speed of the site and it is not slow. I have contacted my hosting and they have run checks and said YOU need to check your facts.

It is unfortunate that you are experiencing this many issues, we can assure you that it is not common at all with our plugin.

We've investigated your site and the mentioned errors with great care, and got the below mentioned results.

We're sorry to see that you choose not to believe us or cooperate at all. We cannot help you if you do not let us.
