Since version 6 you have the option to display layers only on certain devices (desktop, mobile, tablet). This new feature gives you the option to create separate layers and layouts for mobile, tablet and desktop view in the same slide, and only show them on the required device.
The breakpoints for this are the following: Shows/hides a layer on desktop computers. Screen width > 1024px Shows/hides a layer on tablets. Screen width >= 768px and <= 1024px Shows/hides a layer on phones. Screen with <= 767px
Additionally to the device specific layers, you could also build two or three sliders with different sizes or with different content for dekstop/tablet/mobile, include them all to the site, and only display them (using the Hide over and Hide under options) on the required device.
Utilizing this effect, you should be able to achieve a similar look.
