    I have two issues

    1. I am currently running  version 5.6.2 of layerslider - it performs fine in chrome - but in firefox the layout gets messed up see the site therapixbio.com and attached images. The issue is not consistent but happens fairly often to be problematic.  The 3 slides are within a row with 3 columns in visual composer.  Please advise how this issue can be corrected. (we are using the twenty-fifteen theme)

When I Updated layerslider to  6.0.5   - all my slides became invisible on my live page. I can see the slides within layerslider - but after I put the slides on the page they were not visible. So I reverted my site back to 5.6.2 and updated my dev site so that you can see the same page - but with the invisible slider http://dev.therapixbio.com/ and I get errors see attached warning page

I await instruction on how to proceed.  Please note that recreating the slides did not help.

    Hello WebsiteConsultants,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

Please note that both of the releases you are using are outdated. Version 5.6.2 of LayerSlider is more than 2 years old, and 6.0.5 is also a year old now. Please update the plugin to the latest release (6.6.1). We have included several plugin improvements, fixes and additional changes since then.

Also, as I can see there is only one slider included to your dev site and that is being displayed properly at the moment. The 3 smaller sliders that should be under it are not invisible, they are simply not added to the page.

In case you've inserted the sliders with a page builder, I'd recommend to use LayerSlider's default methods instead, as the issue is likely related to the way the page builder implements the sliders.
You can find the available publishing methods in the documentation: https://support.kreaturamedia.com/docs/layersliderwp/documentation.html#publishing-sliders

    Hi Attila

thanks for your quick reply. Yes - you are correct that there is one layerslider slide on this page right now - in trying to improve the situation - I ended up deleting the second row of the dev site. However, the slide is not displaying at all before updating to the latest layerslider and now that I did update - I get this error

Notice: Undefined index: flag_hidden in /home/therapix/www/dev/wp-content/plugins/LayerSlider/wp/shortcodes.php on line 162

Notice: Undefined index: flag_deleted in /home/therapix/www/dev/wp-content/plugins/LayerSlider/wp/shortcodes.php on line 170

I am using Visual Composer on all pages of the site and each of the pages has one layerslider so I need both plugins to work together - which they actually do before I upgraded...

Please advise - how I can fix this error

    thanks

There are no known compatibility issues between the latest versions of VC and LayerSlider. As I can see you are still using 5.6.2. on both the live and dev site. Please update the plugin to the latest release, which is 6.6.1. And also make sure that the VC is up-to-date.

Regarding the error messages, they are most likely related to a database issue. Please use the System Status -> Update Database option, to see if that helps. The System Status is only available in LayerSlider v6.

Thank you for the feedback. I believe your front-end did not reflect the updated files yet for some reason, that is why it still showed as the older release. Regardless, I will forward your login details to the dev team to see if they can find anyting, and get back to you with the results.

We have looked into this further and the problem is that, something is caching your site, loading the old plugin files. Because of this, still the old version of LayerSlider is being loaded and used on your front-end, even though it's updated in the back-end. We have tried to look for it, but wasn't able to locate the exact source of this caching.

To solve this issue you will need to locate and disable/empty the cache. If you are not aware of any caching solution on your installation, I'd recommend to temporary disable other plugins and chaning to a default WP theme to see what generates this caching problem.

Once you've located and dealt with the caching, the new plugin files and settings will be loaded to your site, most likely solving any issue you faced before.

    Hi Attila

I disabled all the plugins and I am using the 2015 wp theme except for layerslider.  All caches have been cleared.  Layerslider is still not  appearing on the page. I have the following short code on the landing page  - followed by the wp bakery code - which is now disabled.  The short code does not produce a visible slider

    [layerslider id="14"]

    [layerslider id="10"]

    [vc_row el_class="th-banner"][vc_column][layerslider_vc id="14"][/vc_column][/vc_row]

    -----------------------------------------

the code is present - I see it in the inspector  and it is set to visible.

    <p>Specialty pharmaceutical company developing unique cannabinoid technologies for treatment of central nervous system disorders</p> </h1></div></div></div><div class="ls-gui-element ls-circle-timer" style="display: block; opacity: 0.65;"><div class="ls-ct-center"></div><div class="ls-ct-left"><div class="ls-ct-rotate" style="transform: matrix(-1, 0, 0, -1, 0, 0);"><div class="ls-ct-hider"><div class="ls-ct-half"></div></div></div></div><div class="ls-ct-right"><div class="ls-ct-rotate" style="transform: matrix(-1, 0, 0, -1, 0, 0);"><div class="ls-ct-hider"><div class="ls-ct-half"></div></div></div></div></div><div class="ls-gui-element ls-loading-container" style="display: none;"><div class="ls-loading-indicator"></div></div><div class="ls-gui-element ls-shadow" data-ls-parallax="disabled"></div></div>

    -------------------------

    Please advise

Server support caught the error - it was caused by css - thanks for your help trying to resolve this issue. Now that the slider is showing I have a new issue though - the text on the slider does not seem to accept the css that it had accepted in the older version and an older issue - (which is why I purchased a new release of layerslider) sometimes the second row that has 3 layersliders in it - moves lower down on the page and is not in the correct place. This happens  only on firefox on a desktop and not consistently.

older version that looks fine on chrome both text and layout http://www.therapixbio.com

new version that text does not resolve well on the top slider  and sometimes no text appears at all http://dev.therapixbio.com and issue in both versions in firefox for the second row of layersliders in firefox desktop only. Attached image

    thanks for your help

    Hi Attila

    any update?

  • [deleted] replied

    Hello,

With the new version, please set the faulty slider (with the displaying problems) to Fullwidth mode. As we can see it was set to fullwidth in the old slider version, but it is not set to be fullwidth type in the new one.

    Hi Attila

I made the change as you recommended and now in chrome it is basically fine. But it is still an issue in firefox. there is a space between the first slider and the second one and there seems to be broken images - but there aren't any other images on the site - when I look at the inspector - it says it could not load the image from layerslider in skins noshadow.png.  the link is  http://dev.therapixbio.com/ Please advise

Thank you for the feedback. I can see and reproduce the deformed sliders in Firefox. We will investigate this further.

Sorry for the delayed response. We were also looking into WP-Rocket, as one of our other users also reported a possible conflict with it. Regardless, thank you for the feedback, glad you could solve the problem. If you need further assistance please let us know.
