    I can't upload the plugin because  "The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini"

    I already increased my php limit but I still can not upload it
    I try to install the correct zip "layersliderwp-6.6.0.installable"  I hope can help me, since I download only for installation of wordpress and it does not work either

    Hello Nancy,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

    I have checked the URL you provided and as I can see, LayerSlider is already being used on it. Were you able to install it in the meantime ?
    In case you are still experiencing the problem, what did you set for the upload_max_filesize ?

    Hi Attila

    Thanks for your prompt response
    I have installed LayerSlider because I bought my theme and it came included but now it tells me that I can not update it so I decided to buy it but the new version does not let me upload it because the plugin is over 2mg and I am installed the version that is only for WordPress

    Change my php. ini

    "memory_limit = 256M
    upload_max_filesize = 50M
    post_max_size = 50M
    max_execution_time = 300 "

    Please let me know if I have to make other changes

    The settings you've copied here should be good. However it's possible that these settings are not being interpreted if you edited the wrong ini file, or if they get overwritten later somehow.

    In case you have a LayerSlider v6+ installed currently, please navigato to the System Status and press the Show Advanced Details button and search for the following: upload_max_filesize and post_max_size to see if they are correct.
    Alternatively, if you have an old version of the plugin that does not contain the System Status yet, a "PHP Info" plugin could be used to achieve the same and confirm these values.

    The easiest workaround would be just to copy the uncompressed installable ZIP (so the LayerSlider folder inside) through FTP to the /wp-content/plugins/ folder.

    And in case you would still like to go after the problem, you can find descriptions on the web that provide additional info in this. For example: https://www.bitcatcha.com/blog/2016/increase-maximum-upload-file-size-in-wordpress/
