I installed the LayerSlider WP 6.6.0 plugin in my wordpress installation, but the sliders are not saved. In my error log I see: ModSecurity: Error reading request body: Partial results are valid but incomplete hostname “saberhortifruti.com.br” [unique_id ” WdvU6brKmQQAABnl5awAAAAN “]
The site is: http://saberhortifruti.com.br It is installed on a Linux CentOS 5 – 64-bit server, the PHP version is 7.1 and the MySQL database is MySQL: 5.6.35-81.0-log – Percona Server (GPL), Release 81.0, Revision c96c427; the wordpress version is 4.8.2
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
Problems with the saving method such as this, are usually related to server configuration issues unfortunately.
Please check the LayerSlider System Status, located on the WordPress sidebar, for any error messages or notifications that could provide additional information on this case.
I see. In that case I believe it is likely a conflict problem on your installation with a 3rd party item.
To start troubleshooting please try to temporary disable other plugins and switch to a default WP theme to see if that solves the issue. Please let us know of the results.
We've logged in and made some tests, but we were able to save without any problem. Did you change something in the meantime ?
In any case, based on the error message it is most likely related to the ModSecurity Apache module. I'd recommend that you (if you have the necessary access) or your host checks on the ModSecurity, as it's possible that there is some kind of limit set. For example the "SecRequestBodyLimit" directive. This was either set in the .htaccess files or in the webserver's "vhost" configuration with the "SecRuleEngine" settings.

Hello Attila,
I checked the System Status and it looks okay.
I'm sending an image of this screen.
Thanks.

Unfortunately not.
I turned off the plugins and put the default theme and nothing has changed.
Please set up a temporary WP login for us, so we can investigate this problem from your admin further.
Make sure to set the message to private so others can't see the credentials.
Thank you. My colleagues and I will look into this to see if we can find anything, and get back to you shortly.
Hello again,

Another possibility would be the Apache's "LimitRequestBody" directive. You can find more information about it on the following URL: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/core.html#limitrequestbody
Thank you Attila,
I'll try to talk to my host.
I don't see how to end the topic. You could do it for me.
Thanks!
