Desktop vs Mobile best practice

    Hello support,

I created my first slider that works OK on desktop but not so well in mobile as font is too small.

So I'm not sure if I should set up a font minimum for mobile.

Or, if I should hide this slider from mobile, and create an optimized for mobile portrait.

Do you have instructions, or an article about Desktop vs Mobile best practices?

    WordPress 4.8.2
    Pro theme 1.2.1

    LayerSlider v6.6.0

I'm running what came with the theme, plus any updates available. I never uploaded the folder that came from envato.

I purchase your license mainly to have access to this support.

    Hello VGonzaloMartinez,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

There are multiple ways to approach this. First is the device control. Since version 6 of LayerSlider, you have the option to display layers only on certain devices (desktop, mobile, tablet). This feature gives you the option to create separate layers and layouts for mobile and desktop view in the same slide, and only show them on the required device.

Additionally to the device specific layers, you could also build two sliders with different sizes or with different content for dekstop/mobile, include them both to the site, and only display them (using the Hide over and Hide under options) on the required device.

Furthermore, as you've mentioned you can also just set a minimum font size for texts on mobiles, if that works for you.
