After updating to Layer Slider 6, I could no longer size the slider to fit my Avada 5.2.2, WP 4.8.1 site. Please advise how to make the slider fit my home page. The old slider allowed me to simply type in the dimensions required
The slider layouts have slightly changed and new options were introduced in version 6, but you can set the sliders' sizes the same as before.
As I can see you are using the fullwidth layout but your background images are not fitting in the slider's canvas properly. You can adjust this with the Slide Background Image -> Size option. Depending on what you want to achieve (cover, contain, stretch), you will need to adjust this, so the backgrounds behave properly.
Are you experiencing problems with the slider's placement in your site's layout or with the slide backgrounds again ? Could you please describe the problem in more details or what should we check exactly ?
The problem is that your background image and the slider have different aspect ratios.
As I can see you did not use the options I recommended in my previous response. You can adjust the slide background's position/size with the Slide Background Image -> Size option.
If you set it to 'stretch' the background image will always fill the slider's canvas no matter what, but it might result in a deformed image because of the different aspect ratios.
If you want them to align perfectly in all resolutions, you will need to match their aspect ratios/sizes. LayerSlider also provides a built-in image editor if you choose to go this route.
I'm sorry Attila but I don't understand. My Avada 5.2.2 layout is set to "wide" and 1100px. All the slider images are 1200x430. I want the slider to be full width on all devices if possible. What settings do I use to make that happen?

Thank you Attila. I found the instructions. It's working fine now ;-)

Hi Attlia. I had the slider working fine, then I installed the latest Avada patch #415793 and now I can't get it to fit the canvas.
Are you experiencing problems with the slider's placement in your site's layout or with the slide backgrounds again ? Could you please describe the problem in more details or what should we check exactly ?
I can't get the slides to fit into the canvas. They are either cutoff on the top and bottom or on the ends.

OK. I set the layout for responsive, canvas width 1200 x 430 (same size as all photos), and it's all good. Whew!
Thanks for the feedback, glad the problem is resolved.
