Purchased plugin on 8/12/17. Plugin upload no issue but it indicates plugin is 6.1.0. So I can't use templates in templates store because it says plugin needs updating. Although I have automatic updates, it hasn't updated to 6.5. So I downloaded it again from Envato and uploaded to site. codecanyon-1362246-layerslider-responsive-wordpress-slider-plugin.
It won't update as it says: The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.Plugin install failed.
It seems like you had the plugin already installed before (Destination folder already exists).
You will need to completely remove the current version first, as there cannot be two instances of the plugin present on your installation at the same time. After that you will be able to install it again.
Please note that your sliders and settings are stored in the database so they won't be deleted in the process.

You have to decompress the archive that you downloaded from CodeCanyon and use the installable zip inside it for install.

Success. I deactivated the plugin and then deleted plugin. Much thanks for your help.
