I can't even get the slider to work. The plugin was version 3.5 and I purchased the new upgraded product in the hope that I could export the slider from the old website and import it into my localhost to make it work - I have the current version of LayerSlider - it wouldn't import the files from version 3.5 - any ideas for me? I have attached the export file if that is any help - it has the five demo sliders and the the layerslider id #7 which is the one which was made for the website

Also - in the current version of LayerSlider AND the older version it is trying to access media at http://50.28.86.93/~aum/wp-content.... and getting a 404 (failed to load) - where is it getting this IP address from? Is there a system environment variable set somewhere? It can't load the demo sliders for this reason, but when I download one from the "template store" it seems to work. What's going on?

    Hey Lisa,

The exporting methods have changed a bit since the old version you had installed. The export files are now 'json' and not 'txt'. You will need to change the extension of these files to .json and they will be working again properly.

Regarding the old demo sliders, their images have been removed from the plugin a while back to make it lighter, that is why they do not appear. You can re-import them from the Template Store for the images.

That IP address is likely there because old versions of the plugin saved the image URLs from where you inserted them, and most likely this URL is still pointing at that location as it wasn't refreshed. You could try to use the Slider Settings -> Misc -> Use relative URLs option. If the images are loaded to your site, this will help with the outdated sources/paths.
