My wordpress version is 4.8.1. I use the theme https://www.templatemonster.com/wordpress-themes/53093.html#tab-details. version cherry 3.1.2

As the error message states you are using an old version of the jQuery. LayerSlider requires at least version 1.8.0 and you have 1.7.2 installed.
Most likely your theme or another plugin is loading this outdated version of the jQuery.
Please make sure that your theme and every plugin on your installation is up-to-date.
You could also try to use the "Use Google CDN version of jQuery" Advanced setting in the plugin to see if that helps.
