    Hi Peeps,

Despite the full system check feature (very cool) the entire app fails without a JQuery update (not part of the system check??????? - NOT COOL).  You say, DON'T USE the only wp jquery update plugin available.  Now what???  I reverted to an old ass version of Layerslider to meet today's project deadline, but lost everything cool I wanted with the updated version.

Do you have a fix for a brand new wp install for this issue?

Otherwise, I love Layerslider.  It's an absolutely brilliant product, and I thank you for making it accessible to guys like me.  I've astounded clients with it..., and they think I'm the genius  (;-)

    Best,

    Patrick

    Hey Patrick,

I'm sorry but it's not completely clear what is the issue you are facing exactly.

Do you have an outdated jQuery on your site and you need to update it ? LayerSlider requires at least jQuery 1.8 or newer.

You can find the official site of jQuery on the following URL, you can download a new version from there: https://jquery.com/

    Hello again,

I have just noticed that you've purchased the WP version of LayerSlider. Earlier I have overlooked it and thought you have the jQuery release. Sorry about that.
Please disregard my previous response. The jQuery is built into WordPress and updated automatically. It's not recommended to change or update it manually, or to use plugins like jQuery updater as they can easily cause issues, duplications or conflicts.
If there is a jQuery related problem in a WP environment, it's usually caused by an interfering 3rd party plugin or theme. We are also providing an advanced option for jQuery related problems, it's called "Use Google CDN version of jQUery". It can also generate problems like this when used incorrectly.

To start troubleshooting please try to temporary disable other plugins and switch to a default theme to see if that solves this issue.
Please also check the LayerSlider System Status again, to see if you can find any related error messages that could provide more information.
