I've been working on a second slider on this site tonight when suddenly I noticed my main slider on the home page was showing some of the background slides 'garbled'. See the attached images. If you look at the slides in the edit stage, they look fine but hit Preview and some of the slides show with distorted backgrounds and others look fine.
At the moment, every slide is distorted in the Preview Mode but only the first slide on the actual site. But a few minutes ago, both the first and second slides distort.
It's the middle of the night here but in a few hours the office will be open so I need to get this fixed.
Also, according to the plugin page, there is a new version but it's inaccessible. The screen says, You have version 6.5.1. Update to version 6.5.5. But clicking Install Now brings up this message: Update package not available.
Just a follow-up. This is unusual. The glitch I reported only seems to happen in Chrome on my desktop. On Microsoft Edge on the same machine, it looks fine. On Chrome on my laptop and my surface, it doesn't happen either. I'm not having any other issues with Chrome so I'm baffled.
Also, any idea why I can't install the updated version?
Regarding the update problem. Please try to deactivate and reactivate the license on your installation. This should help in some cases. You can also use our new site to manage and reset the activations of your purchase code if needed, please refer to the following URL: https://kreaturamedia.com/reset-activations If this does not do the trick please navigate to the Dashboard->Updates menu and try to update there. In case that does not work either, we have also uploaded the new release to CodeCanyon, so you can also download it and manually update the plugin by reinstalling it. About the preview window graphic error. It is most likely caused by a preloader solution on your installation. It could be a plugin or part of your theme as well. Please try to look for it and temporary disable it to see if that solves the issue. The differencies in browsers are related to how fast they are processing the page's elements, eg: which scripts runs first and the order of the images being loaded.
I've updated it now. I think the problem is that when I first purchased WPSlider in 2014, the license covered more than one use. When I added it to this site, it was working fine but wouldn't update. I had to deactivate it on one of my other sites. When I reactivated, it updated fine. I'll just have to purchase again for my other site.
Does Kreatura offer any kind of developer license with unlimited use?
Still not sure about the first slide error. It's only happening on the first slide. However, it's only happening on my desktop PC in Chrome. Every other computer, tablet, and phone render it just fine. Strange. I'll experiment more and see what I find out. Thanks for the suggestion.
A single regular license covers one domain (one test site and one live site). Unfortunately Envato does not offer any multi-use / developer license currently. At the moment the only solution is buying separate licenses for each site or service you would like to use the item with.
Were you able to solve the distorted image problem? Some of my visitors are having the same issue with Chrome. I'm not able to reproduce it, so it's hard to troubleshoot.
As of 48 hours ago, it was happening but I just checked (and also applied the latest update), and it seems to be working normally now. I don't know if that update was specifically to fix this problem or it's just a coincidence. Hopefully this fixed it.
