Hi, I have been trying to update the LayerSlider plugin via the Dashboard but I keep getting this message. My Elegant Themes and API Key are correct and active. How can I fix this? Thanks.
An error occurred while updating LayerSlider WP: Before you can receive product updates, you must first authenticate your Elegant Themes subscription. To do this, you need to enter both your Elegant Themes Username and your Elegant Themes API Key into the Updates Tab in your theme and plugin settings. To locate your API Key, log in to your Elegant Themes account and navigate to the Account > API Key page. Learn more here. If you still get this message, please make sure that your Username and API Key have been entered correctly
That is strange. Your theme shouldn't interfere with LayerSlider updates at all, as they are not related in any way.
Did you have LayerSlider installed before as a bundled plugin with the theme ?
In case yes, it's possible that the bundled version of the plugin was modified in some ways and it's now interfering with the updates. In this case I'd recommend to reinstall the plugin completely with the package that you download from CodeCanyon. Your sliders won't be deleted in the process as they are stored in the database.
