I am recieving an error message when I try to make simple saving - setting changes to LayerSlider. The error message is as follows:

It seems there is a server issue that prevented LayerSlider from saving your work. Please check LayerSlider > System Status for potential errors, try to temporarily disable themes/plugins to rule out incompatibility issues or contract your hosting provider to resolve server configuration problems. Your HTTP server thrown the following error: \n\n Not Found

I had layer slider as part of my purchased enfold theme, but decided to buy my own version, since installing and running with my own purchased version i get above error message when trying to save after editing a slider.

It says about disabling old slider that came with theme, but where is it to do this ??

I only have this one, could someone explain to me what to do ...

    Many Thanks ..Martyn

    Hey Martyn,

There is no issue like this present in the latest release of our plugin (6.5.1.), so unfortunately it is most likely a conflict problem on your installation or a server configuration issue.

First of all I'd recommend  to reinstall the plugin with our version by downloading the newest release from CodeCanyon and reinstalling LayerSlider. You will need to remove the bundled version fist. Your sliders and settings are stored in the database so they won't be deleted in the process.

You can also find installation instructions in the documentation: https://support.kreaturamedia.com/docs/layersliderwp/documentation.html#plugin-setup

In case you're still experiencing issues, please try to temporary disable other plugins and switch to a default theme to see if that solves the issue.

Please also check the LayerSlider System Status, located on the WP sidebar for any related error messages that could provide more information.

I'm having the same issue. Did this get fixed?

Having the same problem SINCE licensing the plugin (came as part of Avada) which enabled popups

Server logs show the following: (Which seem to indicate hat the newly activated popups is the culprit)

I've attached a slightly modified version of one of the plugin files. Please copy that file into the /wp-content/plugins/LayerSlider/classes/ folder on your server via FTP and override the file with the same name. It should help in most of the cases when the problem is related to the popup.
