    Hi there,

A quick question. I've got a layer slide on my site based on the Focus template. I am  using the correct 4:3 ratio for the images and all seems OK. However, when I run the page on GT Metrix I'm getting warnings that the images aren't optimised. I have the srcset option enabled which improves things but not totally.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jim

    Hey Jim,

At the moment LayerSlider does not provide functions that are usually handled by cache plugins, the images are not compressed automatically either.

I'd recommend to check these warnings again, they should mostly be related to caching solutions which normally should be handled by cache plugins. Optimizing images is not really a task that is related to our plugin. Also, I believe that the warnings should be concerning other content on your site as well, not just LayerSlider.

    Thanks for the reply Attila.

I have Essential Grid and Revolution Slider on my site with no optimisation warnings seen on GT Metrix. If delete the LayerSlider row then the warnings disappear.

However, I don't have the images uploaded at the same size (only the same ratio) as the size specified in the LayerSlider. I guess I should try this next. It just seems a bit of a shame that I have go through the process of re-sizing any image used in LayerSlider.

Otherwise, the LayerSlider is excellent. Very flexible and it looks great.
