Incompatibility issue

I have eagerly installed the last 3 upgrades to LayerSlider, hoping that they will include a fix for an incompatibility issue with the qTranslate-X plugin. When LayerSlider is activated, This disables the multi-language buttons when editing pages. However, when I deactivate LayerSlider, the qTranslate-X functionality returns (see attachments).

I received a reply to a comment I placed on your web site about this: "We are not aware of any incompatibility problem between LayerSlider and qTranslateX. We did not experience this on our end and no other user reported it either, so the problem is likely localized on your part. We kindly ask you to navigate to the following URL and open a support ticket by logging in with your Envato account as we can only provide help there: https://kreatura.ticksy.com/". I hope you might be able to offer some suggestions as to how I might resolve this problem. I have tried disabling all other plugins, and re-enabling them one by one, and it definitely seems to be LayerSlider that causes this problem.

I’m using WordPress 4.7.5 and the Modernize theme.

    Many thanks,

    Kevin

    Dear Kevin,

Jugding from the screenshots, this might be a JavaScript error on the page and not necesarrily an actual incompatibility issue. It's hard to tell what causes it without accessing to your site. Please check the JavaScript console of your browser's developer tools and show us the error message if there is any. Alternatively, if you could provide a temporary WP admin access, we could log in and try to find the source of this issue.

Also, we often ask our customers to try to temporarily disable other plugins and switch to the default WP theme to eliminate 3rd party causes. Naturally, in this case you shouldn't disable the qTranslate plugin.

    Kevin,

Please check whether the "Use Google CDN version of jQuery" is enabled in your Advanced Settings. If so, disable that option since it can cause issues like this on sites that otherwise functioning properly.

I'm glad it solved the issue!

Advanced settings should not be changed in most cases. Newer versions also require additional confirmation to enable such options and the System Status page indicates issues like this as well.
