Slider Settings Menu

Since updating LayerSlider to version 6.5.1 this morning, the Slider Settings Menu has the word NEW in red, BELOW the new Popup menu item, instead of to the right. The Your Logo item is overlapping the Default Options menu item. See Attachment.

This may just be the LayerSlider on my server, as I had another issue where text displayed as lines in the editor, when Opening Text Transition was activated, until this update. But I wanted your team know, incase it was a bug in the update. My attempt to fix the menu problem did include closing all LayerSlider tabs, and deleting my browser data, before opening the editor again.

My appreciation to the LayerSlider team! The new Popups option looks really cool!

    Hey konayoda,

Thank you for your feedback and kind words.

We did not experience this on our end and no other user reported it so far either, so I believe that it is a localized problem on your end.

Have you managed to fix it after all ? If you still need assistance please set up a temporary WP login for us so we can take a look at this.

    Dear Rich,

Thank you for setting up this test site and I'm sorry the delayed reply.

I've looked into these issues and concluded that it is a problem with the Bridge theme. They are loading their stylesheets globally on the WordPress admin interface, which can easily interfere with anything on the site. Especially if they are broadly targeting elements like in this case.

The solution would be really simple: they should only load their stylesheet files where it is necesarry. When you edit a LayerSlider slider, there are no interface elements for the theme on that particular page, thus there is no point of loading these files and potentially allowing a collision like this. Even if they would need to load these files, they could do so in a way that target particular elements on the page and apply styling settings on their UI elements only.

However, these issues can usually be fixed from both sides, so I've added a patch to our development version. We're planning to release a new update in the next few days and the fix for these issues will be included.

    Thank you John!!
    You guys are AWESOME!!
I so appreciate you fixing their error by enhancing your code!
I'll be watching for the update.
Best wishes to you and the whole Kreatura team.
    Rich
P.S. Any chance this will resolve the RESIZE issue as well? WIth the Bridge theme, when I click on an image, no resize box appears around the image as it does with the default theme.

    Rich,

Thank you for your kind words!

Yes, it is part of the same issue and the next update will fix that as well.
