Security Question: What Soi do you live in?

    Answer: Soi69

Please see the slider SuperSeal vs Ick 1 at the lower part of the Home page.

I have been trying without success to reduce the size (height) of the slider to take up less space, and to ensure that the two slides fit into the space.

    How can I do that?

    Thank you.

    Hey NevNic,

As I can you are using a fixed size layout, this means that the slider will not be resized and will be displayed the same size on any screen and environment. This might not be the best approach for smaller devices.

You can change the height of the slider in the Slider Settings -> Layout tab with the Canvas Height option. You can enter a smaller value there to fit the slider better in the page.

    Thanks.

I tried this before, and have reduced the canvas height again for Superseal vs Ick1 slider which appears on the Home page, and it makes the presentation worse!

Is there any specific reason why are you using fixed layout on the bottom slider ? Sliders with fixed layout will not resize, I believe that is the problem here. I'd recommend to set it to normal responsive layout instead in the Slider Settings -> Layout tab.

Also, what height are you trying to achieve exactly ?

  • NevNic replied

    OK.

    Please see: layerslider id="supersealvick1"

I have now set it to normal responsive layout with a Canvas height of 400 px.

The two slides still do not fit into the allotted space (Windows 10, Firefox)

It is not really a matter of what height I am trying to achieve, it is more how can the 2 slides both be displayed in full?

As I can see the bottom slider is fitting nicely to the page's layout at the moment.
Have you achieved the required effect ?
In case not, could you please specify what layout are you trying to create exactly or show us an example or screenshot so we can understand it better and can recommend a method.

The screenshot I already sent to you clearly shows that the slides do NOT fit into the canvas size. You cannot see all of the image. For example, you cannot even read the words in the text 'bubble'.

This is the case no matter what height canvas is set.

    In both Firefox and Edge.

Ah, I see. I thought you were referring to the slider's position in the page, not the content inside the slider.

In this case, you can change the background image's position with the 'Size' option in the 'Slide Background Image' section.

If you want the whole image to be visible you will need to set it to 'Stretch' or 'Contain'. In case the image gets too deformed with 'Strech', I'd recommend to change it's aspect ration to fit the slider's layout better.

    That's it! Phew!!

    Thank you.
