Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.

Prior to V6, when I created a slide and added text there was no transition. The text layer(s) showed immediately on the slide. I just provided the coordinates.

Now, with V6, all the slides have the text layers sliding in from the right . The ending position is fine.

Where is the setting so I can get back my desired default behavior? I can't find it. I've tried playing around with the Transitions tab but nothing seems to work. Actually, I made it worse by turning stuff off.

I'm also hoping I don't have to apply this to each slide and layer as I have hundreds.

    Hey prodport,

In version 6 there are two separate transitions for normal opening and text opening. The text opening transition is disabled by default but you might have it enabled so it's recommended to check both.
In any case, I believe that there is an OffsetX value applied on your layers in the opening transition and that is causing the sliding from right. The OffsetX option is located in the Position & Dimensions section of the Opening (Text) Transition tab.

    Hi Attila,

thanks for the reply. I'm attaching my settings panel. I don't have any Opening text transitions.

On the Opening transaction, I do have an Offset of 80. I tried changing that to 0, but it didn't have any effect. The text still slides. I've also tried disabling the feature.

And for the record, I didn't enable anything. All these settings were the result of version upgrades. The only changes I made, as you might recall, were adding custom CSS because Kreatura dropped support for slide IDs. The ID's still show in View Source.

The text sliding is caused by the Offset value you are currently using, the default Offset option is zero. You will need to set it back to zero to erase this layer movement.

In case you have already tried this, there is likely a caching plugin or solution on your site that is preventing this change made to the slider. Please look for any caching you might be using.

    Attila,

I still do not get the text to appear without a transition. Using the "0" offset does stop the text from sliding in from the right. However, the text appears in the correct position but with a delayed effect I don't want. I just need the slide to appear with the text with no delays or animations like the old version.

I tried setting the Duration to "0" and turning off the "Ending Text Transition". (See attached ls2 file). Those changes didn't do anything. And the cache was cleared.

If I look at the settings on the production site, which is still using V5, the offset was set to 80. In fact, all the settings look to be the same in V6, except for my recent changes. (See original-ls).

I appreciate the efforts Kreatura has made to V6, but this has been a very painful and time-consuming upgrade. Too many things have gone wrong as you know from my previous tickets. I fear I have to put in more hours tweaking these layers to get them to work like the old version even though the setting values match. And given that the values are the same between v5.x and 6.x, I wonder if there is something else causing this effect.

    Thanks in advance

If you want layers to appear static without any movement or delay, you will need to set the opening transition the following way: Offsets, Duration and Start at to zero, Fade should also be disabled. The layers will appear immediately after the slide change/transition this way.

You can also use the Time Shift option (located in the Slide Timing area) to sync the layer and slide timings. With this option you can start your layers even earlier, together with the slide animation if you want.
