Limited availability during the holidays

Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.

We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!

Hello, although my purchase code is activated and ok, the Layer Slider does not update automatically. I got the message that 6.2.0 is availabe. When i click on "Check for Updates" i only get to the Wordpress wp-admin/update-core.php without any further information and the notice that all my plugins are up to date. Can you tell me what the problem could be? Thank you in advance.

In the System Status i get the following:

    Auto-Updates:         Activated
LayerSlider version:         6.1.6     Update to latest version (6.2.0), as we are constantly working on new features, improvements and bug fixes.
    WordPress version:         4.7.3

WP Debug Mode:         Disabled     If you experience any issue, we recommend enabling the WP Debug mode while debugging. Click here to learn more
    Uploads directory:         OK
    Cache plugins         Not found
jQuery Google CDN:         Enabled     Should be used in special cases only, as it can break otherwise functioning sites.

    Hey triplexxxx,

I believe there was some strange situational error going on at the moment of the update causing this. For example the cache might have messed with the updates resulting in WP not seeing it while the plugin did.

Please try to update through the WP Dashboard -> Updates or Plugins menus. I believe they should be showing the update properly in this case.

If you're still experiencing issues with the update after that, then it's likely going to be a conflict problem on your installation. You can troubleshoot this conflict by temporary disabling other plugins and switching to a default theme to see what is the source of this.

Hello Attila, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately it still does not work.

Dashboard->Updates: Plugins are all up to date.
But it indicates that an update needs to be done (Red 1 beneath Updates)

Deactivating all plugins did not help. I do not have any other themes installed and i fear i would loose some settings if i try to do so.

Do you have another idea what the reason can be?

Unfortunately I still believe that this is a conflict on your installation. We did not experience this problem on our end and no other user reported it so far.

I'd recommend to manually reinstall the plugin to get the new version. You will need to disable and then remove the current version of the plugin and manually install the new release that you can download from CodeCanyon. Your sliders and settings are stored in the database so they won't be deleted in the process.

You can also find installation instructions in our documentation: https://support.kreaturamedia.com/docs/layersliderwp/documentation.html#plugin-setup
