Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.
We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!
I have a full screen layerslider, with 1 slide as hero opening on my website.
The bottom layer is a selfhosted mp4 video. This works great autoplay+loop on computer, but on mobile I get a play button that does not work.
Furthermore, when I select "hide this layer on mobile and tablet" this video still shows.
Hey 1000zen,
Unfortunately the video displays are quite limited on mobile browsers, due to certain restrictions the autoplay will not work so your videos won't start automatically. Even if you start the video manually by clicking it, it will be opened in a popup iframe window so it will not provide the same effect as it does on desktop.
As I can see you have disabled the slider on mobile currently. Is there a test page where we can check the other issue you mentioned ?
Hey Attila,
Thank you for your reply. Yes I have disabled the slider on mobile devices now. Initially because the movie did not autoplay, but now I think I like it better to have a simple cleaner mobile version.
My second issue was a not working "show/hide layer on mobile". This turned out to be a compatibility issue with embedding a Enfold shortcode for a button. When I made the button myself with html styling, the show/hide function on all the other layers worked as expected. You might want to look at that for further releases. For me it is solved for now.
Again thanks for your support, keep up the good work, I started to love the slider with so many options.
Thank you for the feedback, glad you could solve the problem. If you need further assistance please let us know.
