i'm having a problem uploading some of your files to my server, here is the reply to the support ticket I raised with my hosting, can you help with this please?
"As we have virus scanning enabled for uploaded files on our servers, the anti virus we have in place is reporting there is a problem with the file you are uploading .
and the problem is that the files contain 'obfuscated code'.
Obfuscated code is the type of coding virus writers employ to often disguise virus code in files.
What we would recommend is that you contact the software vendor of the software you are uploading and ask them if they have a version of the files that do not contain obfuscated code.
If they can provide that version of the file, it should upload fine. "
Please note that minified/obfuscated codes are common practice to reduce the file sizes and improve the load times of pages due to less data traffic. Most of the authors use this method for the above mentioned reasons.
It is true that this method can also be used to hide viruses in the code, however we can assure you that the plugin is perfectly clean and safe. Envato also checks the files that we upload to their servers so it can be safely installed.
Your hosting provider will have to whitelist these scripts or apply other methods to let them through, it should be easily done from their part.
I have spoken to my hosting company names.co.uk and they will not allow me to upload your script to any of my domains. I would like to process a refund for my purchase of your plugin , please advise best way to do this.
We understand your situation and it is unfortunate that you find yourself in this position. We can offer you a modified version of the plugin that you will be able to upload to your server.
However updating the plugin in the future is going to problematic as well. So sooner or later this will have to be resolved with your hosting.
Using minified/obfuscated code is a common practice amongst developers. Most of the plugins/items that you come across will use this method. LayerSlider is currently installed on more than a million sites and you're the first one that face this issue with the hosting, so you can see that the method your hosting is applying is very unique.
I'll be honest. We are confident that your hosting could solve this problem in no time, they just don't want to do any extra work. In case you are paying for their services, you are the customer and you are allowed to request this. They are obliged to make this change, after all it's not up to them what content you are using on your site.
In case you still decide in favor of a refund, we understand and will accept your request. However we still recommend to work this out with your hosting, otherwise you will face similar issues in the future.
Thanks for getting back to me, the hosting company won't change their mind so I had to find another solution, so please refund me the cost of the plugin please.

layerslider/plugins/debug/.in.layerslider.debug.js
layerslider/plugins/origami/.in.layerslider.origami.js

In this case please open a refund request through the official channel on Envato, we can only accept it that way.
