Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. How I can make a slider that pick posts from a specific category/categories?

You can use the Dynamic content from posts feature for this purpose. You can access it in the Layers -> Content area by choosing the proper layer type.
You can also import the dynamic content demo slider from the Template Store as an example.
