    Hi there,

I just upgraded to the latest version and now all of my sliders are not page width.  Is there a way to fix this globally?  They used to fill all of the white area width of my screens.  Thank you!

On further review many things have changes, from image sizes to a bread crumb menu on the bottom now where there was not one previously.  Is there any way to revert to when it worked?

    Hey lokibjensen,

Updating the plugin should not change your settings or the slider's layout.
What version of LayerSlider did you update from exactly ?

I don't know.  The odd thing is that the slides are correct within the module but on the web page itself they're all off.  It's almost like it got corrupted.  Is there a way to make it "republish" or something?  Some sort of way to recompile the sliders or does it always compile it on the fly?  Right now the whole site looks like trash because of this and it's our forward facing site to our clients.  I really need help.  THANK YOU!

For me the slider is fitting the boxed layout of your site at the moment. As I can see you are using a normal responsive slider currently, if you would like a fullwidth slider you will need to set the related fullwidth layout in the Slider Settings.

In case the slider is being displayed properly in the back-end but looks bad on the front, there could be something interfering with it. For example a 3rd party item, caching or custom styles applied by your theme.
You could start troubleshooting by re-saving the slider and re-adding it to your site to see if that helps. If not, you could temporary switch to a default theme and disable other plugins to see if this is a conflict.

The slider used to cover the entire width of the white area.  I cannot seem to make it do that again no matter what setting I put it on.  Is there a specific setting I should use?

I would really appreciate some support on this as we pay for that you know.  I have uninstalled any new plugins and deactivated them as well.  This fixed the font and size issues with the individual parts of the slides but I still cannot get the slides full screen.

Incidentally the Home Page was the only one that changed the slider type as well.  They used to all be v5 and I had to change the Home Page back to v5 after the update.  Please help, I need this resolved ASAP and it has been a few days now because of slow responses.  Also, because I don't get emailed when a reply has happened I am forced to come back here and check religiously every half hour for a response from you that rarely comes.

As I've mentioned in my last response you are using a normal responsive slider currently. If you would like the slider to be fullwidth you will need to select the proper fullwidth layout in the Slider Settings under the Layout tab.
Also, you will need to disable the Fit to screen width option so the slider will respect the site's boxed layout (you need to switch on the Show Adavanced Settings button to be able to see this option).

I have made the changes you asked on the home page slider and still it is not full width.

I have the same issue it started shortly after upgrading to version 6. No-mater what the settings are no full width and it use to be Full width I've changed nothing same slide that I started with, only doing updates, that's why I purchased this plug-in. Now I can't even edit my slide, half of the settings buttons don't even work (they do nothing when I click them). Every thing else on my site works just fine. And now the slide is the top layer on my site with it is hiding my drop down menu.

There are two types of the layout available when using fullwidth mode, depending on whether you enable the 'Fit to screen width' setting or not.

The slider can either be absolute fullwidth, meaning it will ignore everything and stretch to the sides of the browser regardless of the site's layout.

Or it can take up the whole width of the available space where you insert it. In your case the parent element where you inserted the slider provides this much space.

You will need to insert the slider to a different parent element where it can take up the full width of the white area. You could check if your theme offers a widget area that's located in the same place but not centered so you can add the slider there.
In case you've used a page builder, you could check if there's a slider element available that would be more fitting regarding the positioning.
Or if you've been using it that way, you could include the slider to your page with one of the default methods provided by LayerSlider: https://support.kreaturamedia.com/docs/layersliderwp/documentation.html#publishing-sliders

That did it, thanks.  For some reason where I used to put it in "Precontent" it wasn't doing it full screen.  When I moved it out of there it worked just fine.  I appreciate the help!

Odd....that worked for the Home page but not for instance, the Downloads page.  Any idea why?

As I can see the slider itself is set to fullwidth so it takes up the available width. My advice would be the same, you will need to find the correct parent element/widget/builder area which is not limiting the slider's size so it can stretch to the whole width of the white area.

I have posted the layerslider ID in the beginning of the page, before EVERYTHING and it still won't go full width.

You have inserted the slider into a DIV (parent element) which does not stretch to fullwidth. I have attached a screenshot where you can see this.

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the page builder and its methods that you are using. To solve this problem you will need to insert the slider to such an area/widget/div that lets it go fullwidth.

Oof.  My apologies, I'm not that proficient with HTML.  On my end I saw that I put it in prior to any other text but I'm guessing the page builder has other plans.

Thank you.  It looks like I'm going to have to find some professional help.  I appreciate all the guidance thus far.  Make it a great day!
