Limited availability during the holidays

Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.

We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!

    Hi,

I'm getting CSS layout issues when I update from version 5xx to version 6xx of LayerSlider. I currently have 5.6.10 installed on the site and the issue is with the slider on the homepage. When I update to any of the 6.0.x versions then overlayed text loses its position (see attached images). After updating I clear the site cache (SuperCache) and browser cache (all) but the issue remains. If I go into the layerslider admin panel the text overlay looks fine. I have reverted back to 5.6.10 as the site is live, but I would like to get this resolved so I can continue to update the plugin. I can give you login details for the staging site to diagnose the issue. Please let me know how you'd like to look into this and I'll provide you with the required assistance.

    Thanks,

    Damian

    Hey Damian,

We will need to see the issue live to be able to tell what's wrong.

Could you please set up a test site or page where we can check it ?

    Hi Attila,

I think I have resolved this issue. What I found is that after updating to 6.0.5 the settings in slider settings >> navigation area changed. After the update the first four options were all set to On (see attachment), whereas they had previous been set to Off. When I reset these the overlay text on the slider behaves as normal. Perhaps this is something to look at, as surely after updating the slider settings should not be changed.

    Thanks,

    Damian

Thank you for your feedback, glad you could solve the problem.

The options in the Slider Settings should not change on updating the plugin but we will take a look at them to investigate this issue.
