hi there, purchased layer slider today and although it looks great on safari, it doesn't work on Chrome or Edge.
by using these 2 browsers, part of the text beneath the slider is hidden, the scroll feature of my mouse doesnt work and the slider stops after loading the background of the first slide. I have tried
Put JS includes to body, but this made no difference. Please can you help asap
yes it appears in all browser but doesn't work in all browsers. Please check in firefox, as you will see, there are 4 slides, each slide has a background image and a foreground image. each slide auto rotates after a couple of seconds or so.
No check the same page in chrome and edge, the slider appears but stops auto sliding almost instantly. Also you cannot scroll down the page with a mouse wheel either.
So, no, i have not fixed the issue. Please can you take a look at this more closely.
i have checked the page with windows 8 and windows 10 on a pc and a laptop. The issue is browser related, it does not work correctly on Chrome or Edge
ok so in Chrome and edge, it appears to load and work. Try scrolling down the page with your mouse.... it doesnt work, now try grabbing the scroll bar and drag down to see the rest of the page.... now scroll to top of page again and you will see that the slider has stopped.
also look at the text box directly under the slider in firefox, you will see the heading PCA Premier Cargo Alliance and some text, now look in the same place in chrome and edge, the title and first line of text is covered with the slider.
please help as i need to go live with this site next week.
The problem seems to be caused by the multiple instances of Greensock on your site, for some reason it is pulled twice instead of one.
I have noticed that you enabled the "Put JS includes to body" advanced setting, please turn it off as it might be interfering in certain circumstances.
In case the problem still persists, it is likely a conflict issue unfortunately. You can troubleshoot it by temporary switching to a default theme and disabling 3rd party plugins to see what is causing the problem exactly.
ok so i disabled all of the plugins and restarted 1 by 1 and it made no difference so i know its not a plugin. I then switched themes to the WP 2017 theme and it got better but still not 100%
so by switching the theme, the slider started to work correctly and my mouse button was able to scroll, but, the text box under the slider was still missing the title. ( see attached screen shot )
The text box under the slider is not part of our plugin so we cannot control its position. You will need to set its place in your site and adjust it to the slider. The slider works like any other element on your site so you can position it the same or with a page builder/theme builder in case you're using that kind of solution.

Hey michaeljb,
I have checked your site and for me the slider appears in all major browsers.
Have you managed to fix the problem in the meantime ?
In case not, please specify on what OS/device are you experiencing the issue.

its ok, it seems to be a conflict between the layer slider and the theme
