Limited availability during the holidays

I need to use a video file (mp4) as the background on a slider. I click on "Add Media" in the "Video/Audio" tab to add a self-hosted file, but when I select the file I want and click "insert" the file is not returned. I even tried copy and pasting the path to the file in box but that has no effect. What am I not doing?

Is there an error with the selecting or does it fail with the uploading already ?
In any case this issue should not happen, without seeing it I believe that it's going to be related to an incorrect extension or a too large file.
But if you show us what you tried to enter manually we can tell what's wrong.
