Anyway, I didn't find what should be an easy question for you : how do I make a layer quit before another one ? They are plenty of options for transition in and out but cannot find where I say : "you need to make your transition out before this one".
You can find the layer transition options listed in the documentation in the Adding Layers / Layer transitions section. You will need to set an ending transition for the layer and also specify its timing so it will animate out before the end of the slide/other item or when you want it to.
