I'm a happy user of Layerslider, with no problems or complaints.
But I would like to add a new slider that consists of snippets of current blog posts that belong to a specified category. I'm not finding a way to do that with Layerslider, but perhaps I'm just not seeing it. There is another plugin that claims to do this ("Post Slider") but I'd much rather use Layerslider if that's possible.
To set up a dynamic slider with LayerSlider you will need to create the posts with the layer type called 'Dynamic content from posts'. After that you can filter the posts you want to display in these layers with the 'Configure post options' menu. You can arrange and order them by date, ID, etc. Please note that currently you can only use one post per slide.
Thanks, but I'm confused. I've selected 'Dynamic Content From Posts", and did the additional configuration. On the configuration page, the two current posts appropriately appear. But there is nothing appearing on the landing page where the slider is set up using the short code in an HTML module. (Other sliders I've set up using photo images work perfectly.) What am I missing? I'm happy to give you admin access if that would be helpful. -Steve
Yes, "In The News" is the slider in question. The reason there is no content is that I cannot find clear instructions anywhere in the Knowledge Base or any tutorials about how to set up a slider that uses dynamic post content. I see how to configure the post options in the layers, but I have no clue about how to set up the slides or placeholders for the posts. Please, help or point me to clear instructions. I am truly lost on this.
You can import the "Dynamic slider from WP posts and pages" demo slider as an example from the Template Store to what settings we used and how we set it up exactly.

Are you referring to the small slider at the bottom of the main page ? It seems like it does not have any actual content in it.
Yes, please set up a temporary WP login so we can look into this further if necessary.
Hi, hoping you received my private reply from yesterday that had admin login info.
Thanks, Steve
Yes, I did. I have managed to login to your installation and checked the slider (In The News).
As I can see there is no content in it other than one layer, but it does not have anything set up, no placeholders for the posts either.
Is this the slider I should check ?
